DESCRIPTION: A leaf curl gall that usually causes the leaf to become sickle-shaped. The wasp that causes the gall lays one egg and within the roll of the leaf is found a lone larva that is shiny green with a dark-brown to black head. DISTRIBUTION: Widespread throughout but possibly underrecorded. HABITAT: Found on the leaves of Blackthorn wherever the plant is plentiful.
